Beauty of the Beast

Fairy Tale Retellings Book 1

Beauty of the Beast is yet another retelling of the the classic Beauty and the Beast tale. It's a dark, sensual and haunting retelling. Adam is a pitiful, anguished creature. Isabelle is more than the classic beauty. Her strength has been forged in pain. She is a perfect match to Adam. There's a shadowy, gothic feel throughout the book. This is not a fluffy fairytale. The author paints sexual, harsh, yet beautiful pictures with her words. It's the kind of story that you want to keep reading, yet at the same time, you just want it end before you start bawling again. This a true love story but with a convoluted and frightening path. Isabelle is one of my favorite heroines of all time. The author fleshes out her personality and reels you in. I love Adam because she loves Adam. Twists and turns throughout the story make for an engaging and tantalizing read. Memorable characters keep the reader on an emotional roller-coaster. I will be looking for books by this author. Her writing style is fascinating and works well with this darker retelling of a well known tale. I hope she does more like it.

Adam is a scarred recluse with little humanity left in him. When he makes a bargain with Isabelle Rose to free her father, his bleak existence is about to change forever. But Isabelle knows about monsters and Adam may not be the worst.

Disclaimer: This is an edgy retelling of the classic fairy tale. Due to strong sexual content, profanity, and dark subject matter, including an instance of sexual assault committed by the villain, Beauty of the Beast is not intended for readers under the age of 18.
