The heart knows what it needs, and quite often, is impossible to deny. That’s what both Cresso, the hero, and Genevieve, the heroine, must realize and learn to deal with. Genevieve has had her heart broken by a slimeball in the past, and can’t bring herself to trust Cresso, an incubus, a demon who feeds on sex. Cresso, on the other hand, can’t bring himself to keep away from Genevieve; trying everything he can to cross her path in their careers on a daily basis. Yet when Genevieve starts receiving gruesome letters and gifts both at home and at work, Cresso feels it is his destiny to step in and save her. In their world of demons, half demons, shifters, fae, and other types of supernatural creatures, Cresso and Genevieve must use all the tools at their disposal to find and eliminate the threat to their health and sanity. Can they do it? Read on to find out.
This novel is delightfully charming and very well written. The scenes are very descriptive, and I had absolutely no problem whatsoever sinking into this novel for the long run. Romance lovers everywhere will adore this book, as well as the other books in the series, if they are anything like this one.
Biochemist Cresso Taylor lives the sort of lifestyle most men would envy—he has wealth, natural incubus charm, and more women than he can handle. But it’s not enough anymore. Not after meeting Genevieve Russell, the sexy scientist who works with him at Elcorp Laboratory. And she wants absolutely nothing to do with him.
After her fiancé broke her heart, Genevieve has had enough of womanizers. She's determined to steer clear of sexy-as-sin Dr. Taylor, despite the fact that his incubus allure makes her want to rip his clothes off. But when a secret admirer's affection turns to the macabre with threatening notes and grisly gifts, Cresso appoints himself her protector. As she and Cresso hunt her stalker, she discovers there's a lot more to the sensual incubus than she ever imagined.
