The Bride Wore Black Leather

This book is part of a series, and Mr. Green also has written a lot of novels in various series. My first impressions: I love it, when’s the next one out, and nirvana! Even though I haven’t read any previous books in this series, Simon made it very easy for me to assimilate the background information, thereby allowing me to read at a faster pace. I am very excited about this novel as this series is about a cast of characters unique to my reading palette. Great drama and the mystery killer scenarios were impressive. As for wearing black leather for a wedding, there are more important items to think about on the big day, than who wore what (like will the wedding party survive?)!

As for what I enjoyed in this novel: the dialogues were interesting, the scenarios unusual, and I think someone who can invent the “King of Skin” character is an out-of-the-box writer. By keeping me busy with the dialogues and scene changes, I was off guard as to who was the murderer. I cannot wait to get my hands on any future books by Mr. Green. This is a wonderful read.

Book Blurb for The Bride Wore Black Leather

In the secret heart of London, under the cover of endless darkness, the Nightside caters to anyone with any unusual itch that needs to be scratched. But enter at your own risk. The party animals who live here may be as inhuman as their appetites...

My name is John Taylor. The Nightside is my home. I didn't plan it that way. In fact, I once tried to get away. But I came back. And now it seems I'm settling down, with a full-time job (in addition to my work as a very private eye) as Walker-the new Voice of the Authorities in the Nightside-and a wedding in the offing.

I'm marrying the love of my life, Suzie Shooter, the Nightside's most fearsome bounty-hunter. But nothing comes easy here. Not life. Not death. And for certain, not happily-ever-after. Before I can say "I do," I have one more case to solve as a private eye-and my first assignment as Walker.

Both jobs would be a lot easier to accomplish if I weren't on the run, from friends and enemies alike. And if my bride-to-be weren't out to collect the bounty on my head...
