The Librarians and the Mother Goose Chase

“The Librarians and the Mother Goose Chase” is the second installment in The Librarians series. When we meet up with the characters this time, they’re on the hunt for a powerful spell book. They must find this book before its full power is unleashed upon the world.

I love The Librarian TV show and movies! I’m a diehard fan, and I have to say that this book follows the same spirit and essence of the TNT franchise. It had the same fast-pace atmosphere and action-packed scenes as an episode. I was worried that the characters would feel off or not themselves, but everyone felt true to character. It was amazing! It really felt like I was watching an actual episode on TV. It had the same funny dialogue and quirky humor that I love so much.

The one thing I really loved about this book and the series itself was that I felt like I got to know the characters better. On TV, we only see one side to them. But in the books, I get to hear their thoughts and inspirations and desires. I really get to connect with them on a new level, and that made me love the show even more.

Overall, I loved this book! The story was well-written and action-packed. The characters were quirky and funny, and I love the connections they have with one another. If you’re a fan of the show, definitely think about giving the book series a try! It’s the best fix if you can’t wait for the next season.

Book Blurb for The Librarians and the Mother Goose Chase

The Librarians and the Mother Goose Chase, an original novel based on the hit television show, The Librarians by New York Times bestselling author, Greg Cox.

For millennia, the Librarians have secretly protected the world by keeping watch over dangerous magical relics. Cataloging and safeguarding everything from Excalibur to Pandora’s Box, they stand between humanity and those who would use the relics for evil.

Stories have power.

In 1719, Elizabeth Goose published a collection of rhyming spells as a children's book, creating a spellbook of terrifying power. The Librarian of that age managed to dispose of all copies of the book except one, which remained in the possession of Elizabeth Goose and her family, temporarily averting any potential disaster.

Now, strange things are happening around the world. A tree-trimmer in Florida is blown off his elevated perch by a freak gust of wind, a woman in rural Pennsylvania is attacked by mutant rodents without any eyes, and a college professor in England finds herself trapped inside a prize pumpkin at a local farmer’s market. Baird and her team of Librarians suspect that the magic of Mother Goose is again loose in the world, and with Flynn AWOL—again—it is up to Cassandra, Ezekiel, and Stone to track down the missing spellbook before the true power of the rhymes can be unleashed.
