This collection of short stories will grab your attention right from the first page and it will not let go until the very end. Being a big fan of Charlaine Harris it was her name that drew me to the book. As I read through each story I was highly entertained. There were twists and turns that I did not see coming and a great variety of stories. From roller derby to fencing this anthology is sure to have something for most readers. There are fifteen stories in all and each one will give you the shivers and some even more than that.
I enjoyed my visits to each of these new worlds. Of course as with all anthologies there were some stories that stood out more than others, but as a whole this is a good book. I am a big fan of paranormal and horror, put them together and I am a happy camper.
I really enjoyed IN THE BLUE HEREAFTER by Charlaine Harris. I love Sookie and her world and to be able to visit it again was fun. Another stand out story for me is FALSE KNIGHT ON THE ROAD by Mercedes Lackey. As a fan of this authors work I was excited to read this fun story.
It was nice to be able to try new authors with this anthology and find some new favorites to look for more from. Each and every story makes for a good read. There is not a story that disappoints.
This anthology is full of so many different worlds and creatures. From a game of hide and seek to a werewolf in a bowling alley you have a treasure trove of variety. There are so many other places and creatures to enjoy. I was pulled in to each story and enjoyed my ride, some even had me wondering more about their worlds and what ifs. If you enjoy paranormal creatures and sports this is one anthology that should not be missed.
